Girls on a water slide

My first water park experience!

Our visit to the top water park in Brazil

Just before we left for South America, Marlie discovered that I had not been to a proper water park before. Yes I’m pretty late on the uptake here, but nevertheless I was so excited when we discovered Beach Park, the top water park in Brazil! It managed to fit perfectly into our Brazilian itinerary and also my birthday!! Obviously with my fear of heights, I had to start at a park with the second tallest water slide in the World too... clearly I love jumping in at the deep end!

The epic rides!
There were so many kinds of slides most of which let you choose to be one or two man rings which was great for us to enjoy them together. Between the capsule drops, half pipes, tallest, highest and widest slides we spent a lot of time returning to the lazy river just to stop ourselves from spinning out! It was so nice to sit side by side and chillax with the music playing and the sun beaming down on us! Heres a list of our favourite rides...
Vaikuntudo
Our fav and most unique ride in the park - it was also rainbow coloured so we loved it even more!
Ramubrinka
A set of 7 slides all at various level of extreme - we loved the black solo one here!
Arrepius
Another set of 5 slides with a drop slide too!
Correnteza Encontado
Translating to The Lazy River of course! We honestly couldn't get enough of the this ride and had the perfect ending of our day on it too!
Kalafrio
This is a half pipe ride you go on as a pair, Marlie loves the face I pull when you drop on rides so she couldn't stop laughing when my end went down first!
Seaquake
The Tsunami pool - For the moments between queues and epic slides this was a fun 10 mins... Whose to say whether we enjoyed the waves or seeing kids being wiped out more entertaining! haha
Things we wish we’d known before we got there:
- Bring your own food and drink, it is very expensive in the park especially if you don’t eat meat. We couldn’t believe one small churro cost nearly 30reals or £6!!
- Get the smaller locker. The locker size examples are deceiving, you’ll easily fit two ruck sacks into a small one.
- Dust off your student card. They do offer a small student discount and as it is quite an expensive park every penny counts!
- Keep your head back! I strained my neck a little on the solo body slides as the London Arcellormittal tells you to keep your head up.. Whoops!
- Smile for the tv screen! They take lots of pictures of you going around, so get a wristband and if you are budget travellers like us, take your own sneaky pic when you view them! 😉
- Get your ride home If you need WiFi for your Uber back, you’ll find some right by the entrance where the taxis come into.
- Check out the beach! Beach park is literally by the beach (if you didn't guess!) So take a moment to enjoy it before you go! We caught a little sunset on our way out.

Just have a great time!

We had an incredible time and then discovered Coco Bambu to have dinner and enjoy happy hour drinks. We’d recommend you do the same, the prices are reasonable as you'll only need one dish to share (we promise!). If you go straight after the park too you'll catch the happy hour so be sure to get the coconut caipirinha! 😍 🍹
