Our Perfect Airbnb Stay in Wales!

We wanted to share a particularly lovely Airbnb cottage that we fell in love with during our stay in Cardiff, Wales.

A while back, Marlie realised she'd spent her whole life going to at least one new country per year.  However, it came to us that this year, as we're saving for the Big Trip, she'd be slacking on her title. Therefore, we decided a trip to Cardiff (with Wales being an easy new country to visit) would work. We spent ages searching for a cool Airbnb place to stay.  Furthermore, to make it extra special, we were hoping to find one with a hot tub to enjoy too!

Our Little Cottage Home!

We were so excited when we found this cute little Airbnb cottage called The Old Byre Also, we could see from the pictures that it had a hot tub.  In addition to a lovely little kitchenette and a sweet double bedroom upstairs with an en-suite. Result!

Settling Into Our Home

As we arrived in Cardiff, from the get-go Chris the Airbnb owner was great! He called us to let me know directions from Cardiff Central. It was barely a 10-minute drive away, which was perfect. Additionally, when we arrived he let us settle in and showed us around.

The Airbnb photos really don't do this little gem justice! The cottage itself was so adorable.  Also, the Italian stairs leading to the bedroom created a perfect blend of old and new into this Grade 2 listed farm.

We noticed from the photos that Chris owned some chickens.  Following this, we discovered that he kindly provides all his guests with fresh eggs every morning! We can vouch that they were delish! He even gave us a couple more so we could each have scrambled eggs.

Now For the Pièce de Rèsistance! The Hot Tub.

My, oh my, were we in for a treat! This is where the pictures really didn't give away anything! The hot tub came with changeable mood lighting!  As well as that, it also connected to built-in speakers via Bluetooth. Evidently, the hot tub alone was fabulous. However, Chris had even set up the whole cabin with fairy lights.  In addition, there was also a fridge, plastic glasses to use in the tub, a coffee machine, toilet and a little couch to get cosy on. It truly looked like a little grotto at night!

We absolutely loved our time in Cardiff.  We just wished we'd stayed longer! If you happen to be visiting Wales, definitely try and book with Chris before you look any further. His Airbnb can be found here.  Also, if you haven't used Airbnb before, you can get £25 off your first stay using this link to register!
